During the height of the coronavirus pandemic, Lambeth Council’s Head of the Data Analytics and Insight Team resigned, leaving them with an urgent gap to fill. This was especially critical in light of the challenges they were facing after the COVID-19 outbreak. The Council had to deal with the spreading of the virus and protect more than 300,000 Lambeth residents.

The IRIS PoC proved that a state-of-the-art neural network system is capable of processing difficult data sets, which the traditional approach wasn’t able to handle. Additionally, having implemented the PoC on Azure showed that hosting the application on the cloud makes it significantly faster and increases user capacity without affecting functionality.

Following an introduction by Microsoft to the Client’s innovation team, Objectivity conducted an AI workshop where Army personnel and Objectivity discussed the challenge and identified potential high-level solutions.

The Client, a national land warfare force, was looking to create a Proof of Concept (PoC) for their innovative AI-powered voice assistant idea. If testing the concept against technological possibilities would produce the desired effects, it could revolutionise the way the infantry prepares for missions.

The Client was able to gain an improved business intelligence tool that supports their production lines’ stoppage and loss data analysis. The new Power BI solution enables users to access critical reports quickly and easily thanks to an automatic daily import of data which takes place without the need for manual intervention.
