Roderick Perry


Rod has over 20 years of experience in the field of investment management.

Rod worked for 20 years at 3i, one of the largest Private Equity firms in the world. During his tenure at 3i, Rod held a number of positions including Sector Advisor covering the telecommunications, systems and software sectors before joining the Executive Committee in 1997. He was an Executive Director of the Group (on the Board of 3i Group plc) from 1999 to 2005. He was also a member of the Executive Committee and Investment Committee from 1997 to 2005. From 1997 to the end of 2001 he was responsible for developing the 3i investment business in Asia Pacific and from 2001 to 2005 he was the Global Head of Venture Capital for 3i.

Rod has a BSc in Physics and is a Chartered Member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology. Rod retired from his full time role at 3i in July 2005 but continued to act in a consultancy role for a further twelve months.

Until 2009, Rod was a Non Executive Director at Gulf of Guinea Energy (Nigeria) and Indago Petroleum, an AIM listed Oil and Gas Exploration Company operating in Oman. He was a Non Executive Director of PartyGaming from 2005 and became Chairman in 2008. He was Senior Independent Director of 3Legs Resources – an AIM Listed company carrying out gas exploration in Poland. He became Deputy Chairman, Senior Independent Director and Chairman of Remuneration Committee of BWIN.Party when those companies merged in 2011 and retired from that Board in 2015.

More recently he has been acting as an Adviser to Amanat Holdings PJSC, a Dubai Based investment company, and non-Executive Chairman of Objectivity Ltd, an agile software development company with operations in the UK and Poland and he is Chairman of the Audit and Risk Committee of Ithmar Capital Partners in the DIFC.
