Back in 2011, at the Testwarez conference, the “Polish Society for Quality of Information Systems announced that they will fund three grants for implementing the best concepts of promoting software testing in Poland.” Since that first announcement the Testing Cup has become a yearly opportunity for the best of the best to gather in Warsaw to show off their testing skills. This year, on the 2nd and 3rd of June, we sent two teams to compete in the 2014 Testing Cup, a support group and a presentation team to show what Objectivity can do, and how we work.
This year there were 68 teams from Poland. We decided to send our teams in to compete for the winning spot. The competition was strong, but we managed to come in at 10th and 27th place, which is a massive achievement! Congratulations teams!
Who did we send? With so many elite people to choose from, it was a hard task picking the teams. In the end, we had the following people represent Objectivity at the Testing Cup Championship:
Objectivity weren’t just there to participate in the competition though. Before the event Bartłomiej Bugajny, Kasia Nowak and Ania Liszewska created a video to request the opportunity to give a presentation at the Testing Cup conference. The organisers of the event liked the video and invited Objectivity to give their presentation on agile projects, the risks and benefits of BA-UX-QE cooperation, useful tools and the importance of communication when working in a project-focussed environment.
The Objectivity HR stand received so much attention that the turnout to the presentation and the event was great! Our experts were questioned and received a lot of interest from the crowds at the event. Wojciech Królikowski, Test and Requirements Manager told us “Interest in our presentation was higher than we expected and it really makes us proud.”
And proud we should be. 10th and 27th places, a request to present way we work, and a popular stand at the event. Great work Team Objectivity!
