Are you kind of a value-driven person? Tough question, isn’t it? How to play fair, when the world seems to be unfair? How to always stay consistent with your fundamental beliefs in the “dark” moments. Do the values count in every single situation? Or perhaps, sometimes, we can cross the borderline? But the most important question is whether the things we believe in our personal lives should influence the business we conduct?
Talking about values…
We need to ask one more question – where do our fundamental values, which we believe in everyday life, merge with those we should follow in our business? Is it possible that the same values, on which we build our relationships, family connections, ties with friends and people we’ve known for years and have gone through many situations – would prove in business?
This is the question that our Group Managing Director – Peter Brookes-Smith tried to answer during his speech at the Success at work = success at home? conference, which took place on 2nd February in Warsaw. The title of his presentation focused on the question whether values in business our fair weather friend. Just after the presentation, he described his thoughts that came into his mind during the preparations to the speech in an extensive and very accessible way.
