  • Rob Helle
    Founder

Forward thinking, and with an innate love of problem solving, Rob likes nothing more than pitting his wits against a gritty challenge. A former national-level sailor and windsurfer, he now regrets that the passage of time has downgraded his exertions to playing national-level Bridge and Backgammon.

The founding force behind Objectivity, Rob is responsible for all commercial areas within the company. But thanks to his efforts in establishing such a strong management team, he is now free to concentrate his energies on his first love – exploring new markets and opportunities for the future growth of Objectivity.

  • Peter Brookes-Smith
    Managing Director

Peter has a real passion for helping businesses improve their profitability - by selling more, cutting costs and increasing margins. Previously, when Peter was at Volkswagen, he conceived, initiated and managed their hugely successful Vehicle National Stock programme, helping to wipe up to L200m worth of debt from the UK importer’s balance sheet.

At Objectivity Peter is responsible for the long-term strategy of the company and brings a wide range of business experience to the role – including consulting, IT, business development, sales, regional management and logistics. Peter has masterminded third-party acquisitions, researched and piloted new processes across numerous businesses, and prides himself on being able to get the very best out of others.

And in his spare time? Well, with five children between the ages of six and eighteen, Peter doesn’t really have much of that. But any me-time he can spare is channelled into his garden, his beloved collection of ride-on lawn mowers (he has three!), and his lifelong passion with the theatre.

  • Lyn Helle
    Corporate Affairs Director

An avid number cruncher, Lyn was the very first employee of the British Payroll Managers’ Association, rising to take charge of HR, accounts and payroll.

But, for all Lyn’s talent with numbers, it’s her contact with people she enjoys the most. Very much a ‘people person’, she has responsibility for all aspects of Human Resource Management, helping to provide an important link between staff and the rest of the Board. As a Fellow of the Institute of Payroll and Pensions Management, Lyn’s varied role within Objectivity also includes administration, office management, finance and arranging the company’s social calendar.

When not tending to the finances of Objectivity, Lyn spends a lot of her free time relaxing and socialising with friends and family, in the beautiful town of Stratford upon Avon and the surrounding countryside. However, her competitive nature is never too far away as her nephew will testify when he tries to score past her in goal!

  • Matthew Weaver

An avid reader, and a frustrated writer, Matt freely admits to loving anything made from grapes (the older the better) and to playing Guitar Hero. No doubt the two are closely linked. However, with a Black Belt in Judo, few people will want to ask him to keep down the noise.
