    Published by Steve McNulty
A software company in Coventry, originally set up in its founder’s bedroom, is celebrating 20 years of creating bespoke IT systems for national brands including Cadbury’s and IPC Media.

Objectivity has grown from humble beginnings in Rob Helle’s home in Solihull to today employing 70 people across two offices in Coventry and Poland.

As a Microsoft Gold certified partner and an authorised Java centre, Objectivity is one of the few companies in the UK to work across both Java and Microsoft platforms. Past accolades include the Deloitte & Touche‘ top 50 fastest growing Technology companies in Midlands’. More recently, it has been awarded Gold Certification from Microsoft® in Business Intelligence.

Objectivity ensures large scale IT systems run smoothly and clients include Jessops, the largest photographic retailer in the UK. Objectivity worked with Jessops to design chip and Pin software to prevent credit card fraud – validating three million transactions in the first year alone.

The company set up its Polish office in 2004 to offer a ‘near-shore’ outsourcing service – with a team of experienced, highly qualified software specialists in Poland. The senior management team along with the Sales & Marketing function are all based in the UK.

Objectivity’s Sales and Marketing Director, Steve McNulty adds: “I’m delighted to be celebrating Objectivity’s 20th anniversary. Because our business model includes our near shore service, we’ve been able to remain competitive and attract high profile brands.

Despite the difficult economic climate, our turnover has continued to grow steadily to £2.8m. This has been achieved year on year by building upon our expertise in the Retail, Logistics and Pharmaceutical sectors and continuing to grow our IT outsourcing services.”
